Taking Off My Mask Was A Relief

“Let go with who you think you are supposed to be and be who you are.”

~Brene Brown

Before I got sober nearly 7 years ago, I did not know who I was. I was a shell of a person. I wore the “being ok” mask. Hopeless and spiritually sick. I was stuck in an autonomous world.

Today, as I continue to discover my real self, I am letting go of who I thought I was supposed to be. I have taken off that mask. There is a profound freedom in being authentically who I was created to be.
